What is acne?

To put it simply, breakouts are a type of inflammation. We chat about two of the biggest culprits when it comes to skin issues: hormones + food. Dr. Brooke shares how our skin is the ultimate clue to how our hormones and our health are doing. When acne happens, it's likely a signal that something is out of balance. 

Our skin is truly a window into our bodies. Whether your inflammation is being triggered by food, hormones, chronic illness, gut health, or stress – our skin lets us know. We've all been faced with those unwanted blemishes, so hopefully understanding the root of it all is helpful as we move forward.
