In this episode, the host of the Next Level podcast, CEO of Burn Boot Camp and my amazing husband, Devan Kline, shares his best tips to help us overcome our excuses and gain the motivation we need to get to where we want to be.  

Just like everyone else, I sometimes find an excuse to not work out and regularly lack the motivation to get to the gym. Devan shared some amazing advice in this episode that really stuck with me. I asked him how we get ourselves to work out when we don’t have any motivation? His answer was perfect: "You need to forget about instant gratification. It may feel good in the moment to skip your workout, but when you think about next week, next month or next year, how will you feel if you continue to fall for instant gratification. Most likely you will be unhappy being stuck in the same place you were. So, when you lack motivation, just think about what your future self would want you to do.”  

Do you wish you could stop starting over on your fitness journey, start seeing results and experience lasting change in yourself? I’m guessing most of you answered yes, but wishing for those things won’t bring them into existence in your life. You can’t wish your way to success; you need to put in the work.
